Out of these 2, which would you choose for your kiddo?
My son's 2nd birthday is coming up, and we're trying to come up with what we should print on the invites. His party is going to be a Dr Seuss theme (Cat in the Hat.

One Fish Two Fish.

ABCs, Gree.

Eggs and Ham, etc), and be at a local park. We're also asking that the guests bring a Dr Seuss book for the birthday boy. We're trying to find or create a rhyme or poem to put on the invites, bu.

I lack creativity in the writing department. Help! :o)

Wording for a Dr Seuss birthday party invite?
Okay, so this is my dilemma, an.

I am really fighting the urge to just freak out on my ex.Whe.

I was 1.

I had one really crazy/romantic/over-indulgent summer that ended with me losing my virginity and getting pregnant at the same time. (In case you're wondering, yes we used a condom, and no it didn't break...

I should play the lottery or something.) Long story short.

I do not condon.

Abortion as a method of birth control so it wasn't even an option for me personally.

I was literally feeling ill only days after we were together and went to him to tell hi.

I though.

I might be pregnant... well he freaked and left town befor.

I even found out for sure. 3 weeks late.

I tested + and at that moment my whole life changed.I graduated high school 6 months early (Had to take night classes for extra credits) and worked 2 full time jobs to pay my way through college.

I got my RN by the tim.

I was 18, and have worked ever since. In this time my ex saw her once when she was 3 months old and then once more at 6 mo old. Then nothing til she was 18mo old. (Then he actually came back and saw her every single day... for 4 days.)He disappeared again only to show up right before her 3rd birthday. This was the first time she was introduced to him as Daddy (frankly before this, she didn't even understand the concept). They had a really nice day together as she put on her Dr Seuss backpack and led him by the hand up and down our street pretending to 'Go to school' and before he left that day she gave him a hand drawn invitation to her B-day party to which he sai.

Of course he would attend. *He never showed up.*And he hasn't seen her since.No.

I have never stood in the way of him seeing her, and you will never hear me say a bad thing about him in front of her because she is a smart young girl and when she is old enoug.

I know she will figure it out on her own.My dilemma is that he just started emailing me out of nowhere and wants to be a part of her life again.

Oh.

I forgot to mention... "He really means it this time". Problem is, he has not seen her, nor made an effort to speak to her since she was nearly 3 years old.... she is 9 1/2 now!He asked if he could just pick her up and take her out to eat or possibly even an over-night...

I lost my mind. Not really- cu.

I did, then he absolutely would have heard it.

I would prefer it if he could come to our house and see her there so she could get to know him a little better and that we could go from there. He said this is unacceptable and it is his child to and he has rights. What the heck is wrong with him?!One last side note here.

I have never asked him for anything-ever.

I never filed for child support against him, and never interfered with his life.

It was my decision to keep her and so long a.

I was physically able to work and earn a living- well.

I was going to do it. Luckil.

I have never needed public assistance- but he doesn't know that. Sure there would have been times where a little extra money would have helped, bu.

I was kinda hoping he would have stepped up to the plate and done it himself. (Don't worry.

I wasn't holding my breath.)So, back to the original question, a.

I am being unreasonable. Maybe an outside opinion would help.

I am having a Dr. Seuss party for my son Colton's 2nd birthday. Can anyone help me with invitation wording?
Well today we decided for Dr. Seuss's birthday we are going to dress up as Thing 1 and Thing 2. The teacher we work for always dresses up like the Cat in the Hat.

I know its not until March bu.

I just love Dr. Seuss! We are looking for something we can dress up like either matching or coordinating.

Any ideas would be appreciated!I forgot to add we are both women. They may help narrow down ideas :)

Two First Grade Teacher'.

Aides looking for and idea on what to dress up for Halloween?

I have a child who is a very young second grader (August Birthday) and had to have tubes in her ears about seven months ago. She is a very sensitive kid and she is very frustrated with not being able to spell or read anything past the "emerging" level (e.g. she can read basic stories like "beginner books" for Dr. Seuss, but books like the "Junie B. Jones" series are far beyond her reading comprehension). From my estimation, she seems to be of average to above average intelligence in just about everything else. My wife an.

I were both highly academic and were reading past our grade levels easily by second grade, so it's extremely difficult for us to find an effective way to help our child to read without her breaking down into tears. My wife diligently reads to her every night but my daughter just doesn't seem to be progressing very fast. My wife believes it may be dyslexia bu.

I believe my daughter's reading problems stem more from her slight hearing loss and her sensitive nature (giving up as soon as she is challenged).

I'm at my wit's end here, an.

I fear we may have put her into school too early.

If you have dealt with this type of situation before, your advice is greatly appreciated.

Reading difficulties with a child who had slight hearing loss and sensitive nature...?
I realize that first birthday parties are more for the parents than the actual child. However.

I want to make my son's birthday memorable for the guests..

I am thinking of going with a Dr. Seuss theme because many of the family members who are attending are teachers and will "get it." Plus.

I think it is a fun theme. However.

I really want good favors for the young cousins who will be attending (about 10)..

I need to cover a variety of ages, bu.

I want the favors to be appropriate for a child turning one..

I.

I could find an inexpensive (about $5-7 each) custom/personalized favor, that would be great. Please give me ideas.

What are good favors and interesting ideas for a first birthday party?
I think he is 118, bu.

I can never remember the year.

I know the month and date is March 2nd, because that's my birthday, too!

When was Dr.Seuss born?
Our son will be turning one next month and we are throwing him a Dr. Seuss themed party -- the thing is.

I wanted his invitation to be unique. Therefore.

I need help with coming up with a Dr. Seuss like rhyme to go on his invitations.... his birthday will be on June 20 around 2pm.Thank you in advance!

SEUSS BIRTHDAY PARTY?
The end of high school is just the beginning of the next step. Today is just the first of many great accomplishments we will achieve in life. Many days we have sat and wondered how long it will be until it's finally over. That day is upon us now and we can't believe how fast it came. We have come far together and now we must all go our separate ways. Some of us will be heading off to college in a few months, others will join right in with the work force and for a few of us we will serve our nation. However, wherever we may go we will always carry the memories of high school deep in our hearts. From the first day of high school to now. We will always remember our friends, our teachers, our administrators, and our campus. We will always remember the fun times we had at Savanna High. From the dances to the Hollywood Knights Game, where everyone went crazy trying to receive autographs from their favorite celebrities. Susan B.

Anthony once said “Sooner or later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, not the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, not the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory unannounced, stray dogs that amble in, sniff around a bit and simply never leave.

Our lives are measured by these.” Those memories of running into poles, laughing with our friends during class, covering our heads from the seagulls during lunch; those are the memories that will last a lifetime. We have come this far and we owe our gratitude to all the adults that have allowed us to be here. To our teachers, parents, guardians, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and to any other adult that has helped us come this far in life we say thank you. Today we, the class of 2009, will set out and find new ground..

As Dr. Seuss once stated “You have brains in your head, you have shoes on your feet.

You can steer yourself in any direction you choose.

You're on your own.

And you know what you want.

You are the guy to decide where to go.” With all that said Savanna High is going to miss us, and we will miss it too. But it is time for us to move into the next saga of our life, adulthood. So no.

I say congratulations class of ’09!!!!!!
